The NJSTART Team would like to welcome you to our 2023 Quarter Four Newsletter. This edition contains an invitation to our next NJSTART 101 webinar on December 14th at 11:00 AM EST! Additionally, we cover details and links to all State of New Jersey Cooperative Contracts as well highlight new contracts, recently renewed contracts and expiring and recently expired contracts.

Our contract category spotlight is “Seasonal Preparedness” and this quarter we are pleased to spotlight contract 23-TELE-49346, M4014- Fleet Management Technologies, which is held by Samsara. Details on seasonal preparedness contracts and fleet management technologies (including a helpful grant guide!) on State contract are below.  Q4 Spotlight: Seasonal Preparedness

The Quarter Four Contract Category Spotlight is Seasonal Preparedness,  here are some items to keep in mind.

1)    Prepare the interior:
a.    Use absorbent nonslip rugs in entry ways 
b.    Signage for slippery surfaces 
c.    Inspect Heating and HVAC systems. 
d.    Inspect plumbing and take measure to prevent freezing. 
e.    Inspect repair/replace interior/exterior lighting. 
f.    Keep a supply of cleaning /disinfecting supplies/hand sanitizers (more time spent indoors) 

2)    Prepare the exterior 
a.    Stock up on De-Icing materials and equipment 
b.    Primary and secondary snow removal contracts 
c.    Inspect/service generators and have a plan to rent back up if necessary.  
d.    Inspect and have trees pruned as needed. 
e.    Prepare for future concrete and asphalt repairs. 

Review the list of State Cooperative Contracts for Seasonal Preparedness to make sure your buildings and grounds are ready for the next few months. From non-slip rugs and area signage to generator services and tree pruning, these and many other essential items needed for the up coming months can be found on State Cooperative Contracts.

In Q3 2023 the NJSTART Team participated in many events.  We had a chance to see many of you in person, hear your concerns, and answer your questions. I would like to thank the organizers from Government Purchasing Association of NJ, The NJ Fire Chief Association, NJ Government Finance Officers Association, The NJ School Board Association, and The NJ League Of Municipalities.  Your organization and attention to detail made your associations events a success for exhibitors and attendees.

As we close out 2023, the NJSTART Team would like to wish everyone a Happy,  Healthy, and Safe Holiday Season.  Looking forward to a productive 2024!  See Ya Next Year!
